Once in a small village, there were two best friends who did everything together. One day, they decided to go on a hike in the forest.
As they walked deeper into the woods, they suddenly saw a big bear. Scared, one friend quickly climbed a tree to save himself, leaving the other behind.
The bear came closer to the friend on the ground. Remembering that bears usually don’t attack unless provoked, he lay perfectly still, pretending to be dead. The bear sniffed him and, thinking he was no threat, walked away.
When the bear was gone, the friend in the tree climbed down. Feeling guilty, he asked, "What did the bear say to you?"
The friend on the ground replied, "He told me not to trust someone who leaves me when I need them the most."
Hearing this, the friend who had climbed the tree felt ashamed. He apologized and promised never to abandon his friend again. From that day on, they understood what true friendship meant: always standing by each other, no matter what.
