Once upon a time, in a big, green forest, there lived a mighty lion. He was the king of the jungle, with a golden mane and a loud roar that made all the animals stop and listen. One day, as he walked through the forest, he stepped into a hunter's trap! A strong net pulled him up into the air, and he was stuck.
The lion roared and struggled, but the more he fought, the tighter the net became. “Help!” he called out.
Nearby, a tiny mouse heard the lion’s loud cries. She ran as fast as her little legs could carry her. When she saw the trapped lion, she took a deep breath. Even though he was so big and she was so small, she wanted to help.
“Don’t worry, Mr. Lion,” squeaked the mouse. “I’ll set you free!”
The lion looked down at the mouse, surprised. “You? How can a small creature like you help me?” he asked.
But the mouse wasn’t scared. She quickly started to nibble on the ropes with her sharp teeth. She chewed and chewed, until at last, the ropes snapped, and the net fell away. The lion was free!
The lion stood up and shook his mane. He smiled at the tiny mouse. “Thank you for saving me,” he said. “I never thought someone so small could be so brave and helpful!”
The mouse grinned. “You showed me kindness once, and I wanted to help you in return,” she said. “No act of kindness is ever wasted.”
From that day on, the lion and the mouse became best friends. They played together in the forest, showing everyone that being small didn’t mean you couldn’t do big things, and that true friendship can come from anyone, no matter the size.
The end.
