The Hen That Laid Golden Eggs

In a small village, there lived a poor farmer who owned a special hen. This hen laid a shiny, golden egg every morning. The farmer was so happy and became richer day by day because of the golden eggs. He used the money to buy food and make his small farm better, and life became easier.

But soon, the farmer grew greedy. “If I could get all the golden eggs at once, I would be the richest man in the village!” he thought. His mind was filled with dreams of big houses and fancy clothes. So, he decided to cut the hen open and take all the eggs inside.

Sadly, when he did, he found nothing but feathers. The hen was gone, and there would be no more golden eggs. The farmer felt terrible and realized too late that his greed had cost him everything. He sat down and cried, wishing he had been patient and content.

From that day on, the farmer learned to be patient and thankful for what he had. He worked hard and shared his earnings with the villagers, understanding that being honest and patient was far better than being greedy. He also taught others the lesson he had learned, so they would never make the same mistake.

The end.
